Pavers hold up well in Florida, but the joints and surface collect algae, dirt and organic growth, and the colour fades under constant sun and rain. Cleaning brings the surface back; sealing helps keep it that way.

What the work involves

  1. Paver cleaning. The surface is cleaned with a method suited to the paver type, using a surface cleaner for even results.
  2. Removal of buildup. Algae, dirt and organic growth are removed from the paver faces and the joints.
  3. Surface preparation. The area is rinsed, joint sand is addressed where required, and the surface is allowed to dry properly.
  4. Paver sealing. A sealer is applied to the dry surface, helping protect the pavers and stabilise the joints.
  5. Restoration of appearance. Colour looks richer and the area reads as maintained rather than tired.

If your pavers only need a clean, we will tell you that. Sealing is worth doing when the surface is in good condition and you want to keep it there.

Paver cleaning and sealing questions

Do pavers need to be sealed?
Sealing is optional, but it helps. A sealer holds the colour, slows down organic growth in the joints and makes future cleaning easier. Unsealed pavers can still be maintained; they just tend to fade and stain faster in Florida conditions.
How long does paver sealing take?
Cleaning and sealing usually happens across two stages, because the pavers must be properly dry before sealer is applied. That often means cleaning one day and sealing after the surface has dried. We will confirm timing when we quote.
Can you clean pavers around a pool?
Yes. Pool decks and paver surrounds are common work for us. We use a method matched to the surface and protect the pool and surrounding areas during the job.
Will cleaning remove weeds and growth from the joints?
Cleaning removes growth and loose material from the joints. Joint sand often needs topping up afterwards, and sealing helps hold it in place, which slows down how quickly weeds and moss return.
